What's Brewing in November?
Penguin City has been very well received and is going strong. We are proud to be part of this Youngstown Beer! A crisp golden ale brewed with high-quality malts and hops, blending the classic and modern with a nod to Eastern European pilsners and a wink to English ales. A smooth-drinking, full flavored session beer that perfect for all day, all night and all seasons. 5.4% abv 20 ibu
Fire Roasted Pumpkin Ale
Fire Roasted Pumpkin Ale has been a huge hit each year when we made it on a small scale. This year we went big and roasted 200 pounds of pumpkin that went directly into the mash. This actually put pumpkin flavor in our beer, adding to the specialty grain bill which provides hints of caramel and dried fruit flavors, it is slightly sweet with subtle fall spices. This beer is a dark orange in color just like a pumpkin. 7.4% abv 15 ibu Check out the video Abby made!
Hopatherapy is one of the hoppiest beers we have ever released. The aroma on this one is off the charts. If you love the hops which provide citrusy aromas & fruity flavors and just can't get enough then you must try Hopatherapy to quench your addiction. An IPA which is brewed with one goal - to keep as much of the hop oils suspended in the beer as possible, unfiltered and juicy. 8% abv 75 ibu
Paladin the Brown
Paladin the Brown isn't actually a new beer but it has been greatly missed by some of our regulars. Whether you miss it or have never tried it now is your chance to enjoy this excellent brown. This Brown Ale is a sweet and malty brew with a complex flavor. If you're looking for hops this beer is not for you. 6.8% abv 13 ibu
Smokey Hollow was first available to taste just before Halloween. This is a very complex beer which has a hint of smokey aroma along with a tart fruity flavor. Reminiscent of the Smokey Hollow Neighborhood located northeast of Youngstown's downtown. 8% abv 27 ibu
Champions Breakfast Series appeals to the sweeter side of your taste buds. The Buckeye kicked in October and you can now enjoy the Banana Split infused Champions. Its too cold to crave a real banana split but the weather is perfect for the beer version! Show the banana split image with a snifter of champions
Blood Orange Series
Blood Orange Series has been a nice substitution for the die hard ash kickin fans. Sir Kenneth blood orange is gone and Taverns Best Blood Orange is well over half way through. The Blood Orange makes such a great addition to each of the 4 beers we chose that its worth trying them all.
In the past few months we have offered 9 additional beers to our portfolio and we have even more to come!
Bourbon Porter will be on tap starting November 21st. This beer is a favorite seasonal beer here at Paladin! The entire batch lasted less than 3 months last year so don't miss out! We infused a rich and malty Baltic Porter with bourbon-soaked oak to get a complex and satisfying flavor with a very smooth mouthfeel and a nice cream tan head. Each sip is complimented by an intense aroma of toasted oak and the sweet graininess of good bourbon followed by a melding of the bittersweet roastiness creating a very characterful beer. 6.9% abv 31 ibu
