The State Line Brewers Guild, made up of breweries in NEOhio and Western, PA are releasing their second Ales and Trails passport map this weekend. The 2018 map was a big success, which originally included 14 breweries (Stone Church and Brewtus have since closed) and area bike trails in collaboration with the Rust Belt Revival Trail Coalition
Josh Dunn of BIRDFISH BREWING CO. said of the inaguaral map, “This map and guild were created to promote craft breweries and craft beer culture in NE Ohio and Western PA… let’s not forget that!”
The final prize for completing the previous map was a fanny pack in bright neon colors with the SLBG logo on it. The prize for getting your map stamped this year is a pair of bottle opener sunglasses.
This year’s map has expanded to include…. along with original members Modern Methods Brewing Company Paladin Brewing Biker BrewHouse Noble Creature Cask House BIRDFISH BREWING Numbers Brewing Company Sandy Springs Brewing Company from Ohio and Western PAs Crooked Tongue Brewing LLC Brew32 CR Brewing Company Beaver Brewing Company… and new members Penguin City Beer Hop Asylum and Croaker’s Brewing Company
Along with the map, craft beer lovers can also become an Enthusiast Member with the SLBG. the yearly membership fee $55. This year you’ll receive a 32oz Stainless Steel growler along with discounted growler fills at all the SLBG breweries. You’ll also receive special perks like early entry into some can releases, invites to attend SLBG meeting, and early access to upcoming information.
There is also an opportunity for businesses to become Allied Members, that includes additional perks and business opportunities.
Moving forward the goal of the SLBG is to continue to grow the support each other, the craft beer culture and expand the community of beer and beer lovers.
